  • Manager/Sr.Manager/Team Lead-International Development

    Location: Hyderabad

    Experience : 12 - 15 Years

    Roles and Responsilbities:

    • Preparing and quoting tenders against enquiries floated by various Govt. Institutions / Authorities and ensuring Timely Participation in RFPs/RFQs, Tenders, preparation of proposals, resulting in revenue generation to the organization in the areas of food and agriculture
    • Charter new growth avenues and create Strategy to make aggressive entry in Govt. /Semi Govt. bodies / Research institutions, CSR bodies etc.,
    • To develop long & short terms Govt. tenders sales planning in consultation with Sr. Management
    • Liaising with project partners and monitoring the progress of multiple projects
    • Development of work plans, timelines, milestones and budgets for Project Planning
    • Ensure project milestones are achieved with due adherence to national regulatory requirements and necessary paper work and documentation
    • Generation of project progress reports (quarterly and annual) and deviation reports for implementation of Projects
    • Coordinate with project partners to ensure studies related to product biosafety and environmental risk assessment are as per protocols and data at all locations is recorded as per the prescribed formats
    • Liaising with regulatory experts and consultants to ensure biosafety dossiers are compiled and are in compliance with national regulations of respective territories
    • Study the data and ensure it passes the required quality and flag any inconsistencies
    • Ensure the updating of Data Management System and Project Management Systems
    • Ensure timely issuance of task orders, fund disbursement and maintenance of funding records
    • Planning and implementation of programs, workshops and partner meetings
    • Liaise with communication team and external project consultants for development of information collaterals (including website updating and printed media) for effective project/science communication and outreach
    • Play a proactive role in publication of research results and articles.

    Candidates Profile:
    • The Candidate should have 12 – 15 yrs of total experience in agri space
    • 3-5 yrs of experience in International Funding Agency ex: USAID, Gates Foundation etc., is ideal
    • The Candidate should be Masters / Ph.D in Development Economist / Agriculture / Rural Development / MBA (Mktg)
    • Candidate should have very good communication skills, articulate complex thoughts in a lucid manner
    • Proven Experience in writing proposals
    • Experience in managing development projects
    • Preference will be given to candidate with experience in emerging markets like Asia & Africa
    • Should be willing to travel for Business Development, networking with all stake holders in ID space
    • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to attend to detail and work independently

    1. Practice building:

    A) Practice level strategic planning and P&L responsibility: The SM will be responsible for assessing opportunity in the industry and, in consultation with the management, preparing mid-term and annual strategic plan for the Food Processing & Retail corporate advisory practice. The SM will be responsible for implementing the plan and will have practice level P&L responsibility.

    B) PR and communication to foster industry leading reputation: The SM will be responsible for building awareness about the firm’s expertise and creating industry leading reputation for the Food Processing & Retail advisory practice

    C) Business development and engagement sourcing: As the lead resource for implementing the practice strategic plan, the SM will be responsible for sourcing advisory engagements to meet targeted business development goals.

    D) HR planning, team development and management: As the corporate advisory practice lead with P&L responsibility, the SM will be responsible for building, grooming and managing the Food Processing & Retail advisory team.


    2. Engagement management, project execution and delivery:

    A) Engagement scoping: As the lead industry interface, the SM will sense client needs and will scope out services to meet client requirements and where innovation advisory or corporate finance/M&A services are offered, the SM will liaise with respective team leads at Sathguru to structure and deliver comprehensive and relevant services to the client.

    B) Engagement execution and delivery: The SM will be responsible for management and oversight of all Food Processing & Retail advisory engagements. The SM will lead engagement planning and execution and will have ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivery.

    Candidates Profile:
    • Candidate must have 8 - 12 yrs of total experience in food space
    • 4-5 yrs of relevant experience in consulting sector or Sr.Management role in Strategy Dept. of sector with responsibility in P&L of Business Division
