Sathguru’s healthcare practice lead Pushpa Vijayaraghavan chaired the session on Vaccines at the ABLE Bioeconomy Conclave held at Pune on the 4th and 5th of October 2018. The Bioeconomy Conclave was an industry convergence held to strategy the roadmap to the targeted $100 billion bioeconomy in India. The vaccine panel included Dr SD Ravetkar, Executive Director of Serum Institute of India, Dr Sanjay Singh, CEO of Gennova Biopharmaceuticals and Dr Manoj Grover Senior Manager – Public Affairs at Sanofi Pasteur. The panel deliberated on how the manufacturing leadership of the Indian vaccines segment can be sustainably continued, footprint expanded to geographies yet to be addressed and strategic considerations for further strengthening innovation led growth in vaccine manufacturing in India.
