White Paper On ‘Indian Nutraceuticals Industry – Building Global Momentum amid Regulatory challenges’ at ASSOCHAM – 5th National Symposium on Nutraceuticals
Sathguru released a white paper on ‘Indian Nutraceuticals Industry – Building Global Momentum Amid Regulatory Challenges’ at the ASSOCHAM 5th National Symposium On Nutraceuticals. The White Paper highlights robust growth potential for the Indian nutraceutical industry in both domestic and export markets. Expansion from current size of $4.5 Bn to $5.7 Bn by 2023 is expected to be driven by organic growth as well as greater value realization from companies moving right on the value chain. India has a unique advantage of deep rooted traditional knowledge. Coupling this with modern science to deliver functionally superior and validated product implies sustainable competitive advantage for the Indian industry that is rapidly going beyond extracted into branded ingredients and final products. This combined with the trend of greater consumer awareness and clinical receptivity for categories such as medical foods provides the much needed tail winds for the industry.
Pushpa Vijayaraghavan, Sathguru’s healthcare practice lead delivered the inaugural theme address and moderated a panel on “Prioritization and Value Addition in Human Nutrition and Health” while Satyanarayana, Sathguru’s Food Industry practice lead moderated the panel on “Regulatory / Business Challenges and Market Innovations”.
