The first Round Table with private sector leaders, held on April 30, 2025, in New Delhi, marked a significant milestone in the India-Netherlands seed sector collaboration. Organized under the aegis of the India-Netherlands Seed Sector Secretariat, and steered by Sathguru Management Consultants and SeedNL, in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the dialogue brought together key Indian and Dutch seed companies operating in India. Discussions focused on identifying shared priorities, fostering innovation, and shaping a roadmap for partnership. The exchange spotlighted collaborative responses to emerging challenges, global best practices in seed regulation and development, and proposed elements of a strategic partnership framework. The event reaffirmed the value of public-private partnerships and international collaboration in building a resilient, future-ready seed ecosystem.

The Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on Potato Seed Sector, held on May 28, 2025, at Hotel Radisson Red, Chandigarh, marked a vital step in advancing Indo-Dutch collaboration in seed systems. Facilitated by the India-Netherlands Seed Sector Secretariat, and organized by Sathguru Management Consultants and SeedNL with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the event brought together key stakeholders including national research institutions, Indo-Dutch seed companies, seed and minituber producers, processors, and technology providers. The workshop was enriched by expert insights from Ms. Marja Thijssen, Senior Advisor, Wageningen University & Research, and enthusiastic engagement from Smt. Shelender Kaur, Director of Horticulture, Punjab Government. Deliberations focused on addressing systemic challenges and identifying innovative pathways to strengthen India’s potato seed sector. The outcomes will inform the roadmap for the India-Netherlands Seed Partnership, with a shared vision to foster efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in the potato seed ecosystem.

On May 30, 2025, in Hyderabad, a high-impact Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on Seed Value Enhancement Technologies was convened under the aegis of the India-Netherlands Seed Sector Secretariat, organized by Sathguru Management Consultants and SeedNL, with valued support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. As part of the strategic roadmap-building process for the India–Netherlands Seed Partnership, the consultation brought together industry leaders to discuss innovation pathways and regulatory frameworks that can advance seed quality and resilience. Ms. Marja Thijssen, Senior Advisor – Seed Systems, Wageningen University & Research, led the dialogue, steering in-depth discussions on regulatory harmonization, seed treatment accreditation, and emerging technologies for value addition. Stakeholders also explored the vision for a collaborative innovation hub, reinforcing the commitment to a globally competitive and innovation-driven seed ecosystem.
